Famous all over the world, Texas-born Dennis Quaid is one of the biggest names in Hollywood for the past three decades. He starred in blockbuster films such as The Parent Trap (1998), Any Given Sunday (1999), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and Vantage Point (2008), among many others. Aside from this superstar’s versatile acting skills, his trademark grin and roguish charm on and off the camera earned Dennis popularity among fans, especially ladies.

His passion for acting began at an early age. He became a familiar face in Houston nightclubs as an impressionist at age 15. He moved to Los Angeles at age 20 to carve his own place in Hollywood cinema. He first gained serious attention from his role as the cocky astronaut Gordon Cooper on The Right Stuff. From then on, Dennis started to become one of the most sought after actors and leading men, appearing in a string of movies including The Parent Trap as the twin’s father, The Special Relationship as Bill Clinton, Great Balls of Fire, Come See the Paradise, Postcards from the Edge, Far from Heaven, Smart People, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, and Footloose.

In 2005, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Dennis also won as Best Supporting Actor from a host of award-giving bodies such as the New York Film Critics Circle, Chicago Film Critics Association, Online Film Critics Society, and Independent Spirit Awards. He received nominations for Best Supporting Actor as well, from Golden Globe Awards, Phoenix Film Critics Society, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
